Description

You know how to mount a panel. But when a client asks “how many panels, which battery, and why this price?”, can you answer?

This book gives you the method to size a solar installation from A to Z and defend your quote in front of the client. No more kits sold at random, inverters that burn out and batteries that die too early.

75 pages you can read in a weekend. A calculator is all you need. The printable sizing sheet works on your very next job.

Please note: the book is written in French.

What readers say

“This book is for technicians, for traders and sellers of photovoltaic cables, and for everyone who, like us, wants to build a career in solar energy.” — Denis, Burkina Faso

“I liked the style that pushes you to read something that, in reality, teaches you the science.” — Gamatche, Niger

About the author

ALI Amadou Fahishal is an electrotechnician. For 5 years he has been carrying out photovoltaic installations: consumption audits, equipment selection, installation and commissioning.

In this book he shares what those jobs taught him: the calculations that work, the mistakes that cost a lot, and the method he uses today to size an installation and defend his quote.

One real project, from start to finish

The book follows a single project: Mr. Koffi’s villa in Lomé. A real house, a real inverter, real panels, with the figures from their datasheets. Every calculation is explained line by line, with diagrams, corrected exercises and a summary at the end of each chapter.

The calculations are made for tropical conditions — the sun and temperatures of West Africa, not those of Europe.

What you will be able to do

  • carry out a home’s energy audit, appliance by appliance;
  • choose an inverter with the right power;
  • size a battery bank, lithium as well as lead-acid;
  • calculate a panel array without putting the inverter at risk;
  • choose cables and protections;
  • write a quote you can defend.

Who is it for?

  • You want to learn the trade: it is the complete method, assuming nothing. Chapter 0 covers the basics of electricity.
  • You sell solar equipment: you will know how to recommend the right inverter, the right battery and the right number of panels, instead of selling a kit at random.
  • You want to equip your home: you will understand what you are being offered, and you will know how to read a quote before signing.
